The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority has confirmed that 16 licenses for the cultivation and export of cannabis have been issued. To date All are for a five year period beginning at various dates in October 2020.
Seven licenses have been issued to Gauteng growers, three to the Eastern Cape, two to the Western Cape, two to KZN, and one apiece to Limpopo and the Northern Cape.

We have our license and we now have a 70% funding out of R15 million which we need to build infrastructure . We need an Investor to come in for a 25% share ( R4,8 million). It’s quite expensive to get license for medical cannabis farming. U must have more than R50m for construction and registration as well as operating costs on the other hand there is no any financial institutions willing to assist. Waiting for government fund it won’t help guys.
