Michael Medjuck’s extraordinary life took him from King David’s High School in Johannesburg to the Montreal underworld where he became one of North America’s biggest cannabis smugglers. He was arrested in in 1991 by US federal agents, convicted of trafficking and sentenced to 24 years in prison. He was released nine years early after agreeing to give evidence against a corrupt prison guard, but barely a year later he was arrested in Spain for cocaine-smuggling!
