Prof Benny de Beer

Prof Benny “Batman” de Beer has always been one to push the envelope. He’s pioneering a medical cannabis distribution system by pulling together doctors and prospective patients under a SAHPRA-approved scheme. Prof de Beer, one of SA’s first licensed cultivators, is not shy of a little publicity either.  He’s the man who bred three new cultivars named after the space billionaires and, with Gauteng Premier David Makhuru, challenged them to take Vaal Triangle cannabis into space.
