Africa’s sunrise industry is rising….”

The Cannabis Trade Association Africa (CTAA) appears to have pulled off a coup to take a South African delegation to the International Cannabis Business Conference in July 2022. The CTAA issued a statement on 18 May 2022 that it was working closely with the Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA) and the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC) to get funding for the trade mission for local cannabis entrepreneurs.

The CTAA is urgently compiling a list of potential delegates and says it is co-ordinating final applications with SEDA that have to be submitted by this Friday, 20 May 2022. It has apologized for the tight deadline but says it has only just received SEDA authorization.

The ICBC is Europe’s premier cannabis networking event that attracts over 5 000 delegates from 80 countries. It takes place at the hotel Erstrel Berlin on 19 and 20 July.

The CTAA’s statement is published in full below:

Hello from the CTAA !

So it seems our efforts to take a delegation from South Africa on a trade mission to exhibit at the International Cannabis Business Conference (ICBC) in Berlin in July is happening !

We are very excited about this and are working closely with SEDA and the DTIC to help make it a reality over the next few weeks.

If you are still interested in participating and being funded for this, please resend your application to us URGENTLY as we are co-ordinating final applications with SEDA this week.  (ie by Friday)

If you have not received the application form please respond to this email requesting it.

The application pack can be sent to this email address – info@ctaa.org.za

Note the deadline for completed participation forms is very very tight now – ie by Friday the 20th May 2022 – apologies for this – SEDA only recently gave authorization to us.

Thank you for your interest and willingness to participate in what will no doubt be an incredible event !
