About Nana Kwaku Agyemang

Ghana’s ‘Hemperor’ finally got his government to legalize hemp production in 2020. Now he’s throwing his organization’s support behind Nigerian activists challenging their country’s drug laws in court. Agwemang knows how hard it is to persuade government to get to grips with reality. When he tried to register the Hemp Association of Ghana he was told the word ‘hemp’ was illegal as well as the plant and therefore couldn’t! He successfully persevered and his “Hempire” has come of age. Hemp and medical cannabis cultivation (no high-THC strains, mind you) is now legal in the West African country.
