Professor Raphael Mechoulam, the Israeli researcher who is credited with first isolating the cannabis compound THC Tetrahydrocannabinol in 1964, has passed away peacefully at the age of 92. His work helped to broaden the scientific understanding of cannabis and the many compounds contained in the plant.
