More research is urgently needed on the harms associated with cannabis as the plant remains by far the most commonly consumed illicit drug in Europe. Around 23 million people regularly use cannabis which is relatively stable compared to the previous year. A new report identifies key trends in cannabis being the divergent regulatory approaches by different countries, a greater choice of consumer product, and the rising omnipresence of THC.
