
FarmaGrowers’ controlled-environment indoor facilities near Brits was created by South African crop management supplier GreenZone. FarmaGrowers is using a Aessense Aeroponic system for propagation and cultivation and an EU-GMP-certified Mobius trimmer for trimming. The company, which had previously been a vegetable producer, received a SAHPRA license in 2020.
Mario Marais, co-founder of FarmaGrowers said in a press statement on 8 October 2021 that “FarmaGrowers has worked exceptionally hard over the past few years to develop high-quality medical cannabis using sustainable cultivation methods. We are extremely excited to be able to bring these products to patients and pharmacies in Europe thanks to our collaboration with Cantourage. We look forward to strengthening the relationship and helping to ensure that growing numbers of patients throughout Germany can have their needs met with product from South Africa”.
