Hey Cape Town: Come Out and Celebrate as the CT Cannabis Expo Returns After 2 Years of Covid-Induced Closure

The Cape Town cannabis community will have its first networking event in two years when the city’s Cannabis Expo resurfaces after a two year break because of the Covid pandemic. The Cape Town Cannabis Expo will be held at Grand West Casino from Thursday 25 March to Sunday 28 March 2022 with tickets costing R150 if you pre-book and R200 at the door for a one day pass. VIP delegates who want to attend all four days – and have access to the Expo ‘after party’ will pay R990 for a pre-booking rate or R1 490 at the door.

International crowd-funding cannabis company Juicy Fields is the headline sponsor and the Expo will feature the JuicyFields Freedom Festival, which the press release says will be “the ultimate space for cannabis enthusiasts, providing a vibrant outdoor festival environment hosting popular bands, artists and DJs throughout the event”.  There will be a private lounge where visitors will be able to consume cannabis legally.

Cannabiz Africa will be launching its new print publication, the Cannabiz Africa 2021 Annual Review at the Expo. The book is a month-by-month archive of cannabis news making the headlines over the past two years. Cannabiz Africa is at Stand 18A where the book will be on sale at a special Expo price of R199.

This is the third event that the Cannabis Expo has pulled off with Juicy Fields in the past nine months – the Cape Town company organized the Mexican Cannabs Expo in June 2021 and the Gauteng Cannabis Expo in Sandton in November 2022.

Organizers expect over 15 000 people to visit the four-day event, which will feature over 150 exhibitors, a Cannabis Food Market and the Cannabis Convention hosting moderated panel discussions and presentations from global industry leaders. There will also be a Shroom Expo, its own stand-alone mini-expo that includes exhibitor stands and an informative psilocybin mushroom gallery. It will also feature the Psilocybin Stage, hosting local and international industry experts discussing a broad range of psilocybin mushroom and psychedelic-related topics.

The Cape Town Cannabis Expo may be Africa’s largest cannabis Expo and networking opportunity to date, with a wide selection of cannabis-related products and services already legally on the market,  Attendees are likely to include businesses and professionals from all sectors of the industry: agriculture, healthcare, medicine, technology, product retailers and innovators, legislation groups and government departments.
